Join us for an enlightening journey of Yin and Breathwork, where we harness the power of specific breathing techniques to induce an altered state of consciousness. This practice, known as conscious, connected breathwork, allows you to tap into your spiritual, superconscious, and subconscious realms.

What is Breathwork?
Breathwork involves continuous, rhythmic breathing with no pauses, either through the mouth or nose. By breathing in a cyclical, rhythmic pattern, you can reach a state of trance, enhanced by carefully selected music, sounds and beats. This combination helps to bypass the prefrontal cortex, introducing transient hypofrontality, and allows you to access your intuitive self without the usual mental chatter.

Arrive: Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the session starts at 10am. We will be finished by 11:30am but please don’t feel any need to rush off afterwards!

What to bring: Please wear comfortable clothing & bring a drink of water. All equipment will be supplied – mats, bolsters and blankets. If you would like to bring your own equipment, you are more than welcome.

Venue: Lotus Yoga Centre, 91 Ruapehu Street, Paraparaumu. Located in the heart of the Lotus Eco Village.

There is plenty of parking inside the grounds, please note there is a 15km speed limit at all times when driving within the village. There is a working bee happening in the village from 9.30 am – midday, so there could be people working near the road and there are quite a few children living in the village and they are often out and about on their bikes.

Follow the sealed road to the right of the entrance at 91 Ruapehu Street (sign posted Lotus Eco Village & Lotus Yoga Centre). Take the first turning on the left (sign posted Yoga Centre), and follow the road round to the right until you see the first building on your right hand side.

Parking: Please park under the building or on the left hand side of the road in one of the designated car parks
